For this week’s Monday Mix I bring you Dave Gee’s (Methods NYC) latest mix “Riot Sounds.” Stacked with heaters from beginning to end, its safe to say Dave Gee is a huge influence in dubstep music listened to in the Tri-State area for Darkroom Attendees. “Murda Style” by Dave Gee and Trigon, set to be released soon by Profound Audio, is an impressive way to introduce a mix fueled with such heavy bass weight- tracks by Benga, Sukh Knight, Trolley Snatcha, MRK1, and other super producers in the industry solidify Dave Gee’s message: Riot Sounds.

Darkroom has provided countless great performances this past year with Mark Instinct, Bare, Vaski, 16 bit, Dieselboy and who better to join this years roster with Distance (Island, Chestplate). An originatar of the dubstep sound from South London, If you’ve done you’re homework you wont have to question who this man is. Distance has worked alongside Skream, Pinch, Benga, and many other of my favorite artists in the scene so I know not to miss Darkroom’s latest event on Friday – October, 14th at Public Assembly.
The event will be 21+ which should bring in just the right crowd necessary for Fall weather, off-festival season raging. Public Assembly’s bars are always stacked with drinks at fair prices, come out and enjoy proper heavy bass music at your toes and Darkroom resident’s own Dave Gee, Trigon, Iron Myke and their very own master of ceremony Diggadee MC.
