Subverse-NYC is a New York based events engine focused on the deep, dark, and upfront incarnations of dubstep and bass music. Founded in December 2012 by Max Mischief (formerly of Bass Fueled Mischief) and I.N.I (of Rinse Magazine / DNB Nation / Vulcan Audio), Subverse-NYC aims to create an outlet for the dark and minimal within the five boroughs, from across the US and the globe. Subverse-NYC is extremely pleased to bring Kryptic Minds to the five boroughs on their first ever U.S tour. Enhancing The Paper Box‘s house NEXO system, TBE will be featuring 4 handcrafted Labhorn Subs. These incredibly efficient and powerful horn-loaded bass cabinets will be front and center together with Tsunami Bass rear fills to provide an exceptional bass culture experience!
KRYPTIC MINDS [UK]
Osiris | Tectonic | Swamp81 | Disfigured Dubz | Metalheadz
Ten years since they formed, Kryptic Minds have built an enviable back catalogue of dark, deadly drum and bass. The production duo of Si and Leon a.k.a. Kryptic Minds have also quickly established a foothold in the exploding global dubstep scene. Their fearsome sub bass assaults lead listeners into an edgy otherworld and have become staples in sets by halfstep innovator Youngsta (Rinse FM) as well as Loefah himself, establishing themselves as flagship artists on his Swamp 81 label.
ASYLUM [UK] (of Vicious Circle)
Uprise Audio | Crunch Recordings
Introducing Asylum to NYC, one of our favorite producers, and for good reason. One half of the notorious duo Vicious Circle, he’s seen lots of action of late, from his upfront release on Uprise Audio (UA02), to the fresh new Germinate EP on Crunch Recordings, to the huge support from Youngsta (a staple in many of his sets). This man is on fire at the moment! Expect to hear a set of 140bpm naughtiness along with a special late night b2b DNB session!
SGNL [DC]
Rubik | Absys | Deep Foc.us | 88DC | Bios Recordings
Bryan Johns, a.k.a. SGNL, has been a musician all of his life. Picking up a guitar at the age of 12, he quickly adopted the instrument as an extension of his soul, learning how to play jazz and progressive metal at a phenomenal rate. Within time he would find himself behind a computer with a pair of headphones on, writing spacey electronic beats with rich soundscapes and deep basslines. Aside from being a technical, forward thinking producer, SGNL has been an experienced DnB/dubstep DJ for over ten years. His DJ sets are a progression of deep beats and dancefloor hammers that tell a story as well and move the floor.
I.N.I. [BROOKLYN]
Subverse-NYC | DNB Nation | Vulcan Audio
Hailing from Toronto, Canada, I.N.I. has established himself as a driving force of innovation in the neurofunk drum n’ bass scene throughout the 2000′s, putting out legendary studio mixes. These bodies of works feature neurofunk heavyweight exclusives from artists such as Corrupt Souls, Mayhem, Noisia, and Kiko and helped the exposure of more underground artists such as Desimal, Mav, and ASC. I.N.I. is best known for bringing forward the deeper, spacier science-fiction rhythms that push boundaries through his polished mixing and track selection. Heady beats and ideas.

ROZI [NYC]
In 2002, ROZI moved to San Francisco from the madness of his native Los Angeles to pursue a path in music. Guitar in hand, Justin opened himself up to as many styles of music as the Bay Area had to offer. During his time spent studying Jazz Guitar and Composition at San Francisco State University, Justin met many talented musicians and played in various groups around San Francisco, many of whom incorporated electronic elements into their performances. His musical direction took a dramatic turn when he discovered the possibilities of making music with Pro Tools and Ableton Live in 2007. By this time, Rozi had already been exploring various dance music styles including drum n’ bass, techno, house, IDM, and dubstep. Today, Justin maintains a relentless schedule in the studio turning out tracks with a keen eye for detail. He also actively collaborates with Bakir.
