December ‘tis the month of great music in the NYC area, and this weekend is no exception to the rule. This Saturday, December 17th, DrFameus is coming to Sullivan Hall for a night to remember with special guests Bang Bang and Mun. Despite the wintry cold, these guys are gonna bring the heat!
DrFameus is a fun and energetic electronic music project brought to us by none other than Allen Aucoin, the “half-man half-machine” drummer of The Disco Biscuits. Allen’s experience and talent doesn’t just stop at great electronic music production. His musical career actually began behind the scenes where he educated and composed music for award winning percussion ensembles.
DrFameus explores many genres in his musical creations giving his listeners an all-encompassing music experience. You’ll hear music ranging from breakbeat, to drum and bass, to dubstep, and even house. Since DrFameus has a little something up his sleeve for everyone, you’ll thoroughly enjoy his set no matter what your music taste, and you definitely don’t want to miss this impressive performance.
Special guest, Bang Bang, the brand new electronic duo, features talented artists Todd Stoops (of RAQ and Kung Fu) on the keys, and Scotty Zwang (of Sonic Spank) on the kit. This is their big NYC debut, so you can expect a very exciting special performance.
Last but certainly not least, you’ll experience the sweet sounds of MUN, the experimental quartet from Brooklyn, NY, to get the night started off right. Fusing the genres of jazz, hardcore, techno and even Middle Eastern vibes, MUN is the perfect band to get you warmed up and movin’!
