Skream and Benga have led the dubstep scene now for as long as I can remember. I recall first listening to Skream’s ‘Midnight Request Line‘ and Benga’s ‘Night’ . Dropping fresh tunes every time they hit the BBC Radio 1 airwaves is why I’ve followed the ‘In New Dj’s We Trust‘ showcase . They start the show with a remix from Echo Park’s “FibreOptic” by 12th Planet & Flinch into Dream’s “TriggerFinger“, which I find myself rewinding and repeating frequently. Also, an exclusive release from none other than one of my favorite dubstep producers Joker which had me smiling from ear to ear. I cant stress enough how talented Joker is and to have his exclusive put on blast by Skream and Benga shows me the level of respect these masterminds have for each other. Benga’s Bangers and Skream’s Slammers is always a fun way to end their time slot. These two in the studio are so humorous that I have enjoyed every mix since they began their residency at BBC Radio.
