This week (September 15th) marks the official release of SubSynthesis.com‘s highly anticipated Bass From Above: Volume 2 compilation album; an established compilation series that has already raised almost $1000.00 dollars for the Japanese Red Cross in direct aid of Tsunami and Crisis Relief. The homies at SubSynthesis plan on continuing the series with an ever-expanding repertoire including some of the best producers in the industry.
There are some heavy tracks from established names like Nit Grit, Nasty Nasty and Love & Light, as well as promising up-and-comers Gladkill, Project Aspect, Unlimited Gravity, Goldrush, Sugarpill and +verb. It also holds some surprises from talented producers I haven’t heard before.. This volume captures the best of a new generation of West Coast beatmakers – jump in!
All proceeds from Volume 2 will be donated directly to Music For Relief, a non-profit organization that has already raised over $350,000 to support the people of Japan. A significant amount of research went in to picking a charity for this album, and Music For Relief proved to be the most responsive, relevant, and reliable organization for getting the money directly to where the aid is needed most.
The album is now available for download at the link below for “Pay What You Like”, this means that you can download the album absolutely free, but all donations you choose to give will go directly to the charity described above!
