Holy Fuck Spices It Up With “Latin”

New music from Holy Fuck! Their new album Latin is more melodic and refined, though still steeped in chaos as it drives along. Smoother, more polished and compelling climaxes evolve from primal rumblings and produce the most listenable release yet from these experimental noise-rockers. The tracks themselves are still generally a build up into one great part, but these parts are more interesting than ever and the songs flow into each other as a complete album. I can’t wait to catch them on tour messing around with this material!

Here’s a little taste from the album:

Holy Fuck – P.I.G.S.

And the new video for “Latin America”:

Latin is a big step in the right direction for the band, who are trying to keep it real as Hardware Heroes (sampling and looping everything live with no laptops) and stay away from traditional structure and pop sounds while producing something people want to listen to. Other highlights include “Stay Lit”, a gentle, infectious tune and “Red Lights”, a bass-driven romp performed below at SxSW. This band excels live, when they can showcase their spastic, unorthodox sound creation methods and jam out, expanding the basic beats and melodies captured on their albums into bouncing sonic whirlwinds that the band struggles to control, four ropes around a thrashing wild stallion’s neck.

Make sure to check out Holy Fuck at Camp Bisco 9 Music & Arts Festival in Mariaville, New York July 15-17 alongside acts such as LCD Soundsystem, Thievery Corporation, Pretty Lights, Rusko, Diplo, and many more.
