Elana Meta is the girl everyone in the festival world is crushing on. She exploded on the scene as a dancer/performance artist at last year’s Envision Festival 2013 (her first festival ever) – and has graced the stages of major transformational events across the country ever since. Regularly performing with the likes of The Polish Ambassador, Rising Appalachia, Phutureprimitive, Random Rab, Emancipator, Tipper, and Andreilien (Heyoka), she also debuted her music (vocals and original production) at this year’s Envision. In addition to being a badass dancer, singer, and producer, she also models and acts, recently appearing in Nike ads and starring in “Winter Blue,” a NYC production, and on ABC’s “What Would You Do?” Having studied dance at Hunter College for the last four years, she went on to found her own dance troupe, nerd-E, and co-found performance troupe LoudSol with renowned aerialist Seanna Sharpe (of guerrilla Williamsburg Bridge performance fame) and acclaimed dancer/actor Akil Davis. Elana is a powerhouse of love, light, and mind-blowing movement. Girl’s got some serious skills and limitless flow. Check out the video highlighting her performances last summer at Envision, Lightning in a Bottle, Beloved, Burning Man, and Symbiosis Gathering; the video highlighting her performances at this year’s Envision; and stream her music below.
