If you haven’t heard yet, be sure to check out the up-and-coming Sophistafunk. This three piece band, consisting of front man Jack Brown, keyboardist Adam Gold and drummer Emmanuel Washington hails from the Syracuse, New York area. Sophistafunk is a combination of hip hop, soul, funk and electronic music, that can really get a dance party started. The group has begun to make people take notice by playing such festivals as Sterling Folk Fest, Ameribeat, Last Daze of Summer, and Jazz Fest; while also constantly touring much of the Northeast. With a new album coming out at the beginning of 2011, LostinSound.org is happy to help promote what should be an incredible album. Be sure to check back here for album updates and tour info.
