The Dome

LostinSound’s Dome is a place for people to gather – a community space that can be used in a variety of ways. It can been set up at festivals, in backyards or anywhere else to create a unique atmosphere. There are several slightly different designs that we use to provide for different needs. A constant work in progress since the day we bought the tubing, it has evolved into an installation people want to be a part of. It can be a covered or open party space (where bands and DJs perform), art exhibit, entryway, vending area, or simply provide shade in the hot summer sun. In the past, we have hosted live poetry, live painting, visual projections on the outside and inside, and a variety of deco/art installations, creating an otherworldly atmosphere.

DIMENSIONS/SPECS:
24 ft. Diameter (12 ft. radius)
450′ Circumference
~24′ tall (at center point)
~130 metal struts (3 different sizes)

For covering, we generally use canvas (multiple pieces stitched together). There are a variety of other options as well: a giant tarp, marine shrink wrap, or parachute, and more (depending on the use of the Dome).

Doorway options: (can be implemented on front and back)
