Detective Flanders’ Favorite EPs of 2011

by on December 30, 2011

An EP (short for extended play) is a musical recording which contains more music than a single, but is too short to qualify as a full-length album or LP. The term EP originally referred only to specific types of vinyl records other than 78 rpm standard play (SP) records and LP records, but is now applied to mid-length Compact Discs and downloads, as well.

Based on this description, the following are my “picks” for favorite EPs of the year 2011.

In alphabetical order, click on the artist/album name to download and/or stream…

I have to say, these are just a few great Eps released this year. There has been so much amazing new music, and I have to say, I am really fortunate to have been able to see, meet, and experience a good amount of it. There are so many big things in the works, and it’s great to be a part of a positive, growing scene. So with that my friends, Happy New Year! stay safe, rage responsibly, and use your head! We all killed it this year!!
